Recently, avast is constantly asking me to restart my operating system. So I do I mean who's gonna object? But every time, it always gives me the same virus/yellow warnings and shouts at me that there's a virus and blah blah blah. So I always quarantine them but they still come up.
I am constantly running counterspy also (it runs at 2 am). I AM aware that there's a virus on my computer. I just don't think I'm doing enough to fix the problem. And I came to find that Task Manager was disabled!!! ><!! But I fixed that. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Here's a HJT log if it helps.
  • Mar 20, 2014  I cannot stop avast! Antivirus service in services.msc. How it all started that I was trying to stop the service & then it took a long time to close so I closed it & now it is in stopping state, & I can't kill the task. I tried Task Manager & sc command in Command Prompt.
  • Nov 30, 2016  Avast Home Network Security scans routers to reveal weaknesses. Therefore, Deutsche Telekom routers are affected, while Verizon routers, which require an authentication, are not. You can check your router's security by running Avast's Home Network Security scan, which is included in Avast.

What is spoofing? Spoofing refers to any type of cybercrime that happens when a hacker impersonates a known contact or source. We can define spoofing as encompassing a variety of tactics all reliant on the hacker’s ability to pass themselves off as someone else. Some spoofers disguise their communications, such as emails or phone calls, so that they appear to be coming from a person. Apr 22, 2009  avast! Is using self protection so killing in task manager isn't possible anymore. If there are lockups i'd say it's most probbaly something wrong with your system itself. I'm running avast! On Vista 32bit and 64bit, two different systems without any problems. Apr 23, 2017  With the latest version of AVG, every time I make minor changes in the code and recompile the program, the AVG starts scanning the executable and it informs me it will take up to 15 seconds to finish it. This is not acceptable for me, as it would slow down the development to a crawl. All my programs are located in a particular folder (C:MyCode).
